The gang moved quietly in the dark of the parkway, walking over to the small warehouse that lay nestled tightly between two larger production factories. It had been five days since they had seen the Elites in the bar and the gang soon figured out a plan and where they believed Venus was by tracing the number on the second barcode to find a small “abandoned” warehouse. They weren’t sure what they were going to do once they found the sophisticated computer that ran the planet and most of the Altereye System, but they figured if they just began destroying things, they would hit something that would shut her down.
They pulled out Iason’s ID card and waved it in front of the door panel. The panel flashed red, then green and the door opened slowly. The gang waited to see if anything could be seen in the building before stepping inside, but the warehouse remained shrouded in impenetrable black. When no lights came on, they walked cautiously in and whispered,
“Lights on.” The lights flickered to life. The warehouse was devoid of the computer. The huge room was obviously old, and several boxes and crates were stacked on top of each other, laying around the warehouse, covered in a thick layer of dust. What caused the members of White Buffalo to gasp was the number of armed, uniformed Officials throughout the room.
